What will you do?

Within the R&D department, our software team focuses on software for TheBattery. Here, you will work as a (Senior/Lead) Embedded Software Engineer. With your specialization, dedication, and problem-solving skills, you are the one who likes to take responsibility within development projects. Optimizing energy storage, connecting charging points to energy storage systems, remotely managing and controlling our systems; these are just a few of the typical issues you will face. These challenges call for innovative solutions. As a Senior Embedded Software Engineer, you play a crucial role in this process. You will work within multidisciplinary project teams, and your strong communication skills enable you to switch seamlessly. Working with the Agile/Scrum framework is second nature to you.

What do we expect from you?

  • You have completed a relevant technical HBO/WO education, such as Physics, Electrical Engineering, or Technical Informatics.
  • You have a passion for building software with like-minded individuals.
  • You have at least 2 years of experience in developing Embedded software. The C programming language holds no secrets for you.
  • You are proficient in the Python programming language.
  • You master the Linux operating system at the system-call level and as a user.
  • You have a broad interest in open-source components.
  • Knowledge of protocols such as Modbus, 61850, MQTT is a plus.
  • You have affinity with (power) electronics.
  • You have a stress-resistant and “can-do” mentality.
  • You are meticulous, creative, communicative, and proactive. You have a critical mindset and are focused on achieving results together.
  • As you will be working in our R&D department, a background check and a Certificate of Good Conduct (VOG) may be part of the procedure.
