Apprentice electrician (Starts February 2025)
Are you looking to earn a recognized vocational (MBO) diploma, gain work experience, and make money at the same time? Then we at Alfen are looking for you! During our work-study program, you’ll learn the ins and outs of electrical engineering, giving you a strong start in the world of technology.
What will you do?
As a trainee electrician, you will be trained to become an electrical technician. During the program, you will work across our three different product lines: transformer stations, charging stations, and energy storage systems. Every three months, you will rotate departments to explore which area fits you best! You will learn a lot with your colleagues and help ensure high-quality end products.
Your tasks will include:
- Checking materials, parts, drawings, and tools.
- Working independently on assembly tasks, such as lighting, cabling, pre-assembly for rack building, and final assembly.
- Spending 4 ½ days a week learning in our large production halls and gaining extensive work experience.

What do we expect from you?
You have a pleasant personality with an eye for detail, and teamwork comes naturally to you. In your resume, we’d like to see the following:
- A completed MBO level 1, VMBO (basic, combined, framework, theoretical) diploma, or proof of passing to 4th year HAVO or VWO.
- A good command of the Dutch language (minimum level F2 is required).
- Do you have work experience? That’s great! Experience in a production environment or in technology is even better.
