Your tasks and responsibilities:

  • Conduct functional, regression, and end-of-line tests at the end of the production line.
  • Prepare test reports (including root cause analyses) and document test findings and improvement proposals.
  • Automate tests where possible to enhance efficiency and repeatability.
  • Collaborate closely with Hardware Test Engineers and Software Engineers to improve testing strategies and product quality.

What do we ask of you?

For this challenging and versatile role, we are looking for a results- and quality-driven professional with a hands-on mindset. You are flexible, highly analytical, and passionate about taking test processes to the next level. Additionally, you have:

  • A Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Industrial Automation, or a similar field.
  • Extensive experience with hardware/software integration testing and end-of-line testing in a production environment.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and expertise in root cause analysis.
  • Strong documentation skills for test results and reports.
  • Excellent communication skills (Dutch & English) to collaborate with Software Engineers, Hardware Engineers, and Product Owners.
  • Preferred: ISTQB Advanced Level Test Manager certification is a plus.

What do we offer?

At Alfen, we offer you a challenging role in an innovative environment where your work directly contributes to the energy transition. Additionally, we provide:

  • A competitive salary based on the Metalektro collective labor agreement.
  • 27 vacation days + 13 ADV (additional leave) days per year.
  • Hybrid working (up to 2 days per week for a 40-hour workweek).
  • Pension plan with PME, where Alfen covers more than half of the premium.
  • A company phone and laptop.
  • Access to our online learning platform for personal and professional development.
  • Engaged colleagues and fun activities through our employee associations, AlFun and Young Alfen.
  • Free sports activities, such as marathon participation and fitness sessions.
  • Travel allowance of €0.23 per km (up to 50 km one way).

With our in-house developed products and expertise as a system integrator, we contribute to a reliable, sustainable, and innovative electricity grid. As a fast-growing international organization, we offer plenty of opportunities for you to develop yourself and our products further.
